so apple is not in any uh this isn't going to take any meaningful market share from Apple or it's going to take meaningful market share from laptop providers like Dell
I'm not sure that this is something that's going to happen anytime soon but it's a legitimate concern that that they might just lock down uh the Mac OS completely and just say no you know you have you can only install apps from the Apple Store I don't think that's going to happen but it's certainly a possibility
I think that the the challenge I think for the AV stuff is that you know is it always gonna be reliable enough a connection one of the issues with 5g is that the range is gonna be shorter so they actually have to have more micro cells to get proper 5g coverage
I think that they could compete but it ends up looking more like a game console business and and I think that is where Apple didn't make a game console 15 years ago either
I think that they found that at the end of the day it was not going to be something that was gonna be a product that people were gonna use all day throughout the day right and I think that that's what Apple aspires to which is products that you use a lot that have a really high quality of user experience and high frequency
they were certainly exploring it and looking at the space and a couple of at least a couple of years ago made a decision not to participate not to make a play here
my theory on it is is I actually think Elon thinks he can hit some of these things and then he adds so much awesomeness to the car unnecessary in some people's minds but still awesome nonetheless and he's such a perfectionist that you know the date slips sometimes but who cares
the problem the the I would say almost consider most universally he's been late by six months or a year on some of these products but they've always exceeded expectations
it is not fair though that yes it the thing has been over promised
there's no reason for them to fall short the set expectations that they can't meet has done this in their history a couple of times
I think the Tesla's proven it's a real business they'd know how to ship build the stuff a lot of cars and they notice ship stuff yeah
the model 3 to me is the big winner
it's a great halo product... it actually creates what we call a halo effect on the brand to the showroom it gets people excited about Tesla
if they can partner with big companies like a Walmart and that have defined routes... that actually gives them a way to say... an average independent trucker is not necessary gonna buy one of these because he's gonna have you know a reasonable fear that there's not gonna be the charging infrastructure in place right but if you go to the partner in the first place and say great let us know what your 1200 mile route is and we'll make sure that we have superchargers along the way
I would have rathered that they had scaled up Windows Phone OS into a tablet and just said you know what we're gonna not license this to anybody we're only going to license it to a small number of oems who can make really great hardware for it
I respect Microsoft for taking a really big bet and and and bu being willing to to make a bold move with the new user interface
I think that Microsoft it wants to re wants to shift into being a devices and services business they want to and they realize that their two big franchises which is Windows and office are not they're not going to they're not going to that their best days are behind them maybe the best way to look at them that there's still going to be a lot of growth they're gonna they're still throwing off huge amounts of profit but the the growth phase is really over
I wouldn't buy this one I would buy the pro
there's still not a lot of apps for it but the apps that I have used like the Netflix app is amazing
I find the interface to be um you know it's prettyy nice I mean I always like the Windows Phone interface and it's very similar to that
it actually feels a little heavier you know in your hands it looks a little thick ... it's very difficult to hold in the portrait orientation
I think you're better off waiting for the the pro which is will give you that more full which could actually legitimately maybe replace a laptop right or and your tablet whereas this feel feels a little bit too in between and I think lean's a little too heavy on the the PC side
I actually think that this is probably the best the touch cover is probably the best Innovation uh of the whole thing
I'm not sure that this is something that's going to happen anytime soon but it's a legitimate concern that that they might just lock down uh the Mac OS completely and just say no you know you have you can only install apps from the Apple Store I don't think that's going to happen but it's certainly a possibility

they're still going to sell as many as they can make...the iPad is now a huge franchise for them and a lot of people want to buy them in fact they're basically selling as many as they can make of the 9.7 inch ones and so I think anything that makes it easier and more affordable to buy an iPad is going to do really well and I'd be surprised if they don't sell out the initial run pretty quickly
oh Dragon which has the best dictation it just crushes Siri came out with an assistant for Android that allows you to launch other apps and do things in other apps so you can say launch um launch path uh check in Mahalo and it does it right like holy cow
you know swift key on Android is awesome and I can type really quickly with it now uh how how close to your Trio 650 or your I actually think it's probably better at this point because the prediction it actually it it does prediction and it learns from your typing style and you can actually link it to your Twitter account into your Gmail account and stuff like that
the truth is Google and apple are e Google and Amazon are either losing a little bit of money or basically breaking even on those two
when Amazon had some issues with the Kindle app and iOS they introduced their web-based reader um which created a pretty good experience and then they brought the Kindle app back and solved some of those issues
Google and Amazon are either losing a little bit of money or basically breaking even on those two
