in another ten years will it do another 4x will those packs be $5,000 to go the same distance I it's it's it's interesting because if you look at at the next 10 years I'm pretty sure about the cost the cost will go down in half cause more will go down [Music] pretty much I'm not saying entirely half since I'm sitting with the price list on my own batteries sure but but but they will go down dramatically and then you know as they go sub you know one hundred US dollars per kilowatt hours then you
I don't think you know at that point of time that if you know that you will choose a combustion engine and then you know in Europe you're starting also to see the government after government basically putting in legislation against combustion engines
Northvolt's battery costs will decrease dramatically, nearly by half, over the next 10 years.
What happened: Northvolt’s battery cost per kWh fell from roughly $400‑$500 in 2017 to about $200‑$250 by 2024‑2025, a reduction of ~50‑55%, matching the claim that costs would nearly halve over the next decade.
Verify at source ↗you also see that that in in the field of energy you know you're starting to see new solar and wind the installations that is generating you know lower cost per produced kilowatt hour than pumping out oil out of for example out of the sea so then eventually technologies piece is making that that fuel dependency obsolete

an electric car the efficiency is is about 95 percent energy efficiency versus a combustion engine that that you know could be about 25 to 30 percent what does it mean efficiency in this country so you know them the amount of energy that you could convert into into mileage so so we in a combustion engine most of that energy becomes heat yep and and in an electric car it becomes mileage well and so so when you have an electric engine that is like three times more efficient you know eventually tha

if you look at the evolution of batteries you you clearly see the similar patterns as Moore's law you know where every 10 years you get a pretty significant increase almost a doubling every 10 years right Moore's law processing power doubles every 18 months yes batteries the density energy density doubling every 10 years
