the foundation itself is sort of um in a way handing over the reins the community and now we're sort of following the exact same um pattern as bitcoin where now it's being um the project is being maintained by uh really the entire community
it's been as high as a million dollars to buy a subnet um so it just depends on when you go look and i've seen it as low as like 100k
anybody can launch a subnet there's no it's permissionless which is kind of the great thing about it
i think a bitmaster kind of has the advantage there because we have 120 projects and growing that can even compete within itself
the market cap of ridges right now is very low it's like around 30 million dollars uh compared to cursors 30 billion with a b so there's a right
the code base is coming from the miners so basically the miners compete with each other to improve the efficacy of the ridges product so just like you know like bitcoin does what bitcoin does for stranded energy but tensor does for stranded talent so anyone anywhere in the world can compete and the miners that are improving the subnet 62 product um they're earning something like 50k in subnet tokens per day so you know if you if you win the contest uh you you know you could you could make a mill
the biggest news in bitensor in the last 24 hours has been the launch of ridges subnet 62's product now it's a vibe coding platform it competes with claude and cursor and uh and basically it's scoring uh 73 to 88 on the sweet benchmark test which is sort of like the sat that measures how effective a vibe coder is um so it's comparable or better than claude and it's scoring uh 96.3 on the polyglot test which is a different version a different benchmark but measuring the same thing so uh the price
yeah i mean this is exactly what shoots and targon do right so they take these open source models and stand them up and make them available for quite a bit less than you can get on aws
despite the market master nations and what people say about Yahoo and the ups and the downs and the drama and the Microsoft deal on the carol bartz and all that your user numbers are pretty damn consistent
your user numbers are pretty damn consistent yeah like you guys are still a big company
your user numbers are pretty damn consistent
i would approach cbs and see what they had to say first why not you know you never know they may throw buy your company why not
Google willing to pay 6 billion for Groupon. We'll get to that story in a in a second because that deal looks like it's not going to happen.
the thing that they announced was kind of interesting because they said that um it was a bit it was a bit amorphous. Everyone's got sort of a different spin on it. Um specifically they said that uh they're both talking the innovation spiel. They're both saying that packets should not be there should be no pay for priority packets, right? And uh Google fast lane is what they're talking about.
yeah i think i mean interestingly enough right before we came in here otis chandler of goodreads.com tweeted that s3 was down so all the images on his on his site on the goodreads.com site were not appearing um so it's yet another sort of example of the ways in which cloud is still not all the way there yet
i doubt they're cooking up a competitor to amazon that would just be philly a bad idea
my guess is that it will help but I don't think it's a game changer in the sense that it will be the deciding below that will push it over the edge and Twitter will vanish and now buzz will rule the world I don't think that's happening
it's another interesting example of Google using the portfolio approach to sort of push their agenda ... the goal of buzz to try to grab land if you will from facebook and twitter ... I don't think it's a game changer in the sense that it will be the deciding factor that will push it over the edge and Twitter will vanish and now buzz will rule the world I don't think that's happening
I actually think Microsoft has got to leg up to be completely fair... I actually say Advantage Microsoft on this one.
