if you look at Amazon and Alexa as an example right what matters to them what apps is some startup gonna move the needle for the biggest company in the world not anytime soon and so it's apps right it's it's ecosystem right they want the coolest stuff on their platforms first they want to support it be out there leaning into that innovation and helping it succeed right so that's very aligned with our mission

first one its 2012 with Microsoft which of course is now scaled up the Microsoft accelerator around the world you know we were sort of running the first ones for them and you know I think people had that fear the trick is when we were scaling at rate we weren't giving those things that the entrepreneurs should be afraid of right
I think with any of the corporate programs they really are looking for learning so they want to understand what the startups want to do with their with their tools Technologies um they're looking for PR right they want to be seen as helping them um and of course they're looking for bizdev you know m&a uh investment opportunities this puts them in the poll position because if they've already been a limited partner and you know they've built up some Goodwill maybe they know a couple of people ther

we were getting certainly companies uh choosing us saying that they really wanted more Hands-On attention and uh you know live mentorship
it's uh frankly you know they're getting closer to what we've always done which is you know bring in more mentors to actually be Hands-On and help uh kind of rightsizing investment and and maybe scaling back a little to uh you know be focused on on the companies a bit more and not you know just stamp a label on them but really help them

you know a few years ago um we had uh folks like Greg Khan that was at at Yahoo part of brick house showing up all the time you know I'd say three or four years years ago um and they've lost so many people that a lot of the people that we used to you know really have coming in aren't there anymore so' be interesting to see what they do as they uh enter the new phase
surprisingly we we actually get a lot of AOL interactions so it's it's uh you know those few seem to be the ones that that really get in there and try to help
